The island of Crete, situated between the Aegean Sea to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south, is famous for its attractions: clean sea waters and magnificent beaches, high mountains with traditional villages and monasteries, very important archaeological sites going back to the Minoan times (2nd millennium B.C.), a variety of local traditions in food, wines and folklore as well as open and friendly local people.
The Climate
During September the weather conditions in Crete are rather warm with low probability of rain. Day temperatures go up to 30 0C while night temperatures usually do not fall below 16 0C. Some wind is possible.
Weather conditions are ideal for swimming either in the Hotel’s pools or in natural beaches of the area.
Since sunlight is still strong during September wearing light hut and sunglasses are recommended for outdoor staying during day hours. Sun cream is also recommended.
